Navila is a practising speech-language therapist working with the paediatric and adult population. She has 3 years of experience in providing speech and language therapy to children aged 3-25 years old across a range of disorders and in various settings (hospital, private and school). She pursued her Bachelor’s Degree in the University of Mysore on Audiology and Speech-Language Pathology. During her 1 year of clinical training, she had the opportunity to work with various communication disordered populations who required speech and language therapy. After obtaining sufficient training and clinical hours, she started practising as a full-time therapist in a special needs school in Kota Damansara. While practising, she has undergone few qualified trainings and obtained certificates such as Certificate in Social Thinking; Certificate in Understanding Anxiety & Depression; Certificate in Overcoming Imposter syndrome; Certificate in Writing Measurable Goals and Objectives; Certificate in Understanding Transitional Food; Updates on their Behaviour, Use and Benefits in both the Adult & Paediatric Population. Besides that, she has attended workshops on teaching communication strategies for speech delayed kids and developed therapy material for enhancing auditory memory. She is also a lifetime member of India Speech, and Hearing Association and Member of Malaysian Association of Speech and Hearing (MASH). Currently, she is pursuing MPhil in Psychology at the University of Nottingham, Malaysia.
