Sangetha Kisnan holds a Degree in Counseling from University Malaysia Terengganu (UMT) and a registered counselor with Lembaga Kaunselor Malaysia (LKM). She was a counselor at the Department of Social Welfare Malaysia and has experience working with children, youth, adults and families who come from diversified backgrounds. The counselling issues are varied, covering workplace/career issues, child-parent relationship, emotional and interpersonal relationship issues. She works with clients closely to identify the root of issues, connect the dots and present the issues in a different light by using techniques such as Gestalt Therapy, Reality Therapy and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. Sangetha uses different creative tools as art drawing and inventories to provide space, comfort, and discover clients strengths and potentials. She gained experience by involving in talks, rescue the homeless operation and counselling events to improve professional competence. Other than that, she went workshops and seminars to stay up-to-date on latest practices such as E-Psychological First Aid Workshop, seminars on Psychological Support In New Norm and Integrity & Ethics In E-Counselling Sessions. She believes that mental wellness is not a destination but a process. It’s about how you drive not where you’re going. She is fluent in English, Bahasa Malaysia and Tamil.
