Sofiah Atiqah Ahmad Lutfi

Sofiah Atiqah is a dedicated and highly motivated Clinical Psychologist who is passionate about understanding the complexities of human experience and providing a safe space for others to express their innermost thoughts and feelings.

She graduated with a First Class Bachelor of Science (with Honours) in Psychology from The University of Nottingham, Malaysia, and subsequently completed her Master of Human Sciences in Psychology (Clinical and Counselling Psychology) from International Islamic University Malaysia.

Furthermore, throughout her clinical training, she had experience in providing comprehensive psychological assessments and various therapeutic interventions at Hospital Sultan Abdul Aziz Shah, UPM and Hospital Sultanah Bahiyah, Alor Setar, where she had assessed patients of various clinical diagnoses and age groups, including children, adolescents, adults, and geriatric individuals. This has allowed her to gain a deep understanding of diverse patient needs and conditions of many different backgrounds. She has also delivered talks and webinars to the community and participated in various mental health screening programs.

As a therapist, she is trained in conducting various types of psychological assessments (such as intelligence assessments, neuropsychological assessments, personality assessments), as well as conducting different types of psychotherapies (such as cognitive-behavioral therapy, dialectical-behavioural therapy, mindfulness-based interventions) based on the clients’ individual needs. She is committed to help her clients gain insight on themselves and to improve their well-being by building resilience and confidence as well as finding meaning in their lives.
