Maisarah is an Occupational Therapist with a Bachelor of Occupational Therapy (First Class Honours) from Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM). She is a registered Occupational Therapist with the Malaysian Allied Health Professions Council (MAHPC) and an active member of the Malaysian Occupational Therapy Association (MOTA).
Maisarah has clinical experience supporting children with diverse developmental and neurodevelopmental needs, including Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), Global Developmental Delay (GDD), Sensory Processing Disorder (SPD), Learning Difficulties (LD), Down Syndrome, and speech and language delays. Through her work, she has developed expertise in understanding children’s functional challenges and supporting their participation in daily activities.
She adopts a client-centred approach by integrating sensory integration principles, play-based interventions, and behavioural strategies to support children in achieving their developmental goals. Maisarah works closely with families and caregivers by providing practical guidance and home-based strategies to encourage skill development and promote the generalisation of therapeutic progress beyond the clinical setting.
