2.5 Therapy outcomes may vary between individuals. While the Centre and its professionals will make reasonable efforts to provide appropriate and evidence-informed services, specific outcomes or results cannot be guaranteed. 3.0 BENEFITS AND POTENTIAL RISKS OF THERAPY 3.1 Therapy and psychological intervention may provide benefits such as improved emotional functioning, behaviour, relationships, coping skills, communication, daily functioning and overall wellbeing. 3.2 However, therapy may also involve discussing or addressing difficult experiences, thoughts, emotions or behaviours. As a result, clients may experience temporary or increased feelings of sadness, anxiety, guilt, anger, frustration, disappointment or emotional discomfort. 3.3 Clients are encouraged to communicate openly with their therapist if they experience significant distress, discomfort or concerns during the course of therapy so that these can be appropriately addressed. 4.0 EMERGENCY AND CRISIS SITUATIONS 4.1 The Centre provides scheduled psychological assessment, consultation and therapeutic services and does not operate as an emergency or crisis intervention service. The Centre does not provide 24-hour monitoring or emergency response services. 4.2 If the client or any individual under the client's care experiences an emergency, is at immediate risk of harm, or requires urgent medical or psychiatric attention, the client or their caregiver should contact 999 or seek immediate assistance at the Emergency Department of the nearest government hospital. Emergency assistance should not be delayed while waiting for a scheduled appointment or a response from the Centre or the assigned therapist. 4.3 For emotional distress or mental health concerns requiring urgent support, the following Malaysian helplines may be contacted: • Talian HEAL 15555 – Mental health crisis support provided by the Ministry of Health Malaysia. • Befrienders Kuala Lumpur: 03-7627 2929 – Free and confidential emotional support. • Talian Kasih 15999 – Support for matters including abuse, neglect, family crises and social welfare concerns. WhatsApp: 019-261 5999. 4.4 These helplines provide support but are not substitutes for emergency medical assessment or intervention. Where there is immediate danger or an inability to maintain safety, emergency services should be contacted without delay. 4.5 Clients and caregivers should not rely on the Centre or its therapists as a substitute for emergency services. This provision does not remove any professional or ethical duties applicable to the Centre or its therapists. 5.0 PAYMENT, FEES & REFUNDS 5.1 The Centre is a private allied health centre and fees are payable for professional services provided, including consultations, therapy sessions, assessments, reports and other applicable services.

5.2 All applicable fees are based on the Centre's prevailing fee schedule, as set out in the relevant Appendix or otherwise communicated to the client before the service is provided. 5.3 Fees may vary depending on the type of service, professional providing the service, level of expertise, assessment requirements and other relevant factors. Fees may therefore differ between professionals within the Centre. 5.4 The Centre reserves the right to review and revise its fees from time to time. The applicable fee will be communicated to the client before the commencement of a new service, assessment or therapy package, where applicable. 5.5 Where additional charges apply, including charges for formal assessments, assessment tools or reports, the applicable fees will be communicated to the client before the service is undertaken.
5.8 All payments are non-refundable, including payments made for consultations, assessments, therapy sessions, reports and therapy packages, except where otherwise determined and approved by Centre management on a case-by-case basis. 5.9 For clients who have purchased a therapy package, the Therapy Package Terms & Conditions form part of this Agreement and apply in addition to these terms. 5.10 The current fees and applicable fee ranges are set out in the Fee Schedule / Appendix. Clients may contact the Centre's administrative or clinical team for clarification regarding applicable charges. 6.0 CANCELLATION, RESCHEDULING & NO-SHOW POLICY 6.1 Clients are expected to attend appointments as scheduled. If a client is unable to attend, the Centre must be informed as soon as reasonably possible. 6.2 Requests to cancel or reschedule an appointment must be made at least forty-eight (48) hours before the scheduled appointment time. 6.3 Where sufficient notice is provided, the session may be rescheduled to another available appointment, subject to therapist availability and the Centre's scheduling arrangements. 6.4 A cancellation or rescheduling request received less than forty-eight (48) hours before the scheduled appointment time will be considered a late cancellation or late rescheduling. 6.5 For late cancellations or late rescheduling, fifty percent (50%) of the session fee will be retained as a late cancellation or late rescheduling charge, while the remaining fifty percent (50%) will be credited towards the client's next session. 6.6 The fifty percent (50%) credit may only be used towards a subsequent individual session completed within two (2) calendar months of the cancelled or rescheduled appointment date. Any unused credit will expire and be forfeited after this period.
5.6 An appointment shall only be considered confirmed upon receipt of full payment. Payment
must be received at least forty-eight (48) hours before the scheduled appointment time to
secure and confirm the appointment slot, unless otherwise agreed by the Centre.
5.7 Any appointment for which payment has not been received shall be considered provisional
and may be released by the Centre at its discretion, including before the payment deadline.
Confirmation of the appointment shall remain subject to therapist availability at the time
payment is received.

6.7 A no-show occurs when a client fails to attend a scheduled session without prior cancellation or rescheduling in accordance with the Centre’s cancellation policy. In the event of a no-show, 100% of the applicable session fee will be charged, and no refund, credit, replacement session or make-up session will be provided. 6.8 The Centre does not guarantee that an appointment for a cancelled or rescheduled session can be provided within the same week. Any rescheduled appointment is subject to therapist’s availability. 6.9 Repeated cancellations, missed appointments or failure to comply with appointment arrangements may result in a review of the client's ongoing appointment arrangements and, where appropriate, suspension or discontinuation of services. 6.10 For clients who have purchased a Therapy Package, the applicable Therapy Package Terms & Conditions shall apply in addition to this Agreement. In the event of any inconsistency between the cancellation, rescheduling or no-show provisions in this Agreement and those in the Therapy Package Terms & Conditions, the provisions in the Therapy Package Terms & Conditions shall take precedence for clients using a Therapy Package. 6.11 Where a session is cancelled by the Centre or the assigned therapist, the full fee paid for that session shall be credited towards the client's next session, or the session may be rescheduled to a mutually agreed date and time, subject to availability. No additional charges shall apply to the client as a result of such cancellation. 7.0 LATE ARRIVAL 7.1 Clients who anticipate being late must notify the Centre as soon as reasonably possible. 7.2 The session will generally end at the originally scheduled time. Time missed due to late arrival will not ordinarily be extended, compensated or carried forward. 7.3 The treating professional will determine whether there is sufficient remaining time for the session to proceed safely and meaningfully. 7.4 Where the professional determines that there is insufficient time for the session to proceed appropriately, the session may be shortened or treated as a missed session. 7.5 Clients who arrive more than twenty (20) minutes after their scheduled appointment time may be considered to have missed the session if the treating professional determines that the remaining time is insufficient for the session to proceed safely and meaningfully. In such circumstances, the session will be treated as a late cancellation and the Centre's late cancellation policy will apply. 8.0 FORMAL ASSESSMENTS AND REPORTS 8.1 Formal assessments and reports are separate services and may incur additional charges. 8.2 The type and cost of an assessment will depend on the assessment tools and procedures required. The relevant professional will discuss the recommended assessment and applicable charges with the client before proceeding. 8.3 Formal reports are not automatically included as part of a consultation or therapy service and may be subject to separate charges. 8.4 Reports will only be prepared where there is an appropriate professional basis for doing so. The release of a report remains subject to the relevant professional's clinical judgement and the Centre's policies.
